Who We Are
Established in 2020, the NUMed Medical Education Society (MedEd) is a student-led initiative dedicated to supporting medical students across all year groups.
Navigating medical school isn't something anyone should have to do alone. We believe peer-led learning is one of the most effective ways to solidify clinical knowledge and build confidence —whether you're tackling your first preclinical exam or preparing for clinical rotations.

Our Mission and Vision
- Bridge Knowledge Gaps: Identify tough curriculum topics and create targeted, high-yield peer teaching sessions to address them.
- Empower Future Educators: Give senior students and alumni a platform to hone their teaching, mentoring, and academic skills — preparing them to be communicative, well-rounded clinicians.
- Democratise Study Resources: Develop and curate high-quality revision materials that are completely accessible to every student. Made by students, for students.

What We Do
- Tailored Peer-Led Teaching & Mock Exams: From preclinical AKT circuits and Mock OSCEs to clinical WriSkE reviews and MOSLER practice, we structure interactive sessions specifically for each year group.
- Open-Access Resource Hub: A centralised archive of lecture slides, question banks, and student-contributed study decks accessible anytime.
- Medical Education & Skill Workshops: Interactive sessions and speaker events exploring specialty career paths and clinical skills beyond your daily lectures.

Driven by Our Community
Everything we do comes down to the students who support our initiatives and share their feedback along the way.
We are deeply honoured to have received the Academic Society of the Year award over the years — a recognition that serves as a true testament to the community which shows up and supports everything we do.
